Dream On ♫

Today's interview also seemed to go well. I can't decide if I prefer single or group interviews. I should get a call from the manager within a couple days, if I'm hired. I'm letting my craftiness linger and made this smaller collage   (4" x 6") of Mia this morning. I prefer to make smaller pieces. With full 12 x 12 pages, there is too much paper to use and blank space to fill. This saves me some money, as well as putting a few pictures together when I print them out as one at the store. Do you need an example..? I'm about to take Sasha to check the mail then make another.

Cornish Pixies

I had my first interview today. The manager is interviewing eight people and hiring four, so my chances are pretty good.. right? I feel in love with some of the items they had in the store. Especially the stuff that wasn't expensive and that was decorations that I could easily afford. If I get hired, you know where I'll be getting Christmas presents from and if I get an employee discount! Whooaa! *calm down..* I won't find out if I get the job until early next week* and I have another interview tomorrow anyway.

Today felt like a crafty day, so while I waited for the interview (the morning seemed pretty long, in a good way), I went to CVS and printed out some of my more recent pictures, from HP & the edits of Mia and a couple of Michael. Tonight I put together this one while I watched the first half of "Chamber of Secrets". Here is the full view of the collage.

Also, last night a woman commented on one of my quill pictures then used it for her blog. That was pretty cool. =)

Dead Cell

1~ My cell phone battery died and I'm worried that I left my charger in Gainesville. I've already emptied all the bags and my suitcase that I brought back to Orlando. Its not in the drawer where I normally keep it..

2~ I finished up the Domestic Violence Awareness BTS video. The music is a little Halloweeny, which I like since we shot it at the end of last month. Plus, Domestic Violence can be a scary thing. You can view the video here.
3~ I sent an email to the make up show Face Off since they are having auditions at Full Sail in a couple weeks, hoping that I could take some behind the scenes pictures. But I was just told that unless I work for Face Off or the Syfy channel, I can't take any pictures.

4~ I need a picture for today..(45 mins later, here is it! It only seemed appropriate to show off wearing my new fuzzy slippers that my mom bought me while I scrapbook her a belated birthday card! Not sure why Sasha was making that face in every picture I took..)

Employment Prayers

I spent today going around applying to more places that I had skipped over in July during my job hunt. (Publix, Dollar Tree, Kirkland's, Pier 1 and Bed Bath & Beyond.) I talked to most of the employees when I handed them my filled out application and they did say that they were in the hiring process, mainly for the holidays. Hopefully that's all I'll need. Pray for me! The other parts of my day have been spent watching Eclipse with Sasha, going for walks and taking food to Michael at his shop while he sculpts more Whoville noses to practice with. What a sad looking Who.. Oh snap, I just got a call for a group interview at Pier 1 in a couple days! What a fast prayer. =)

Artsy Celebration

I hope everyone changed their clocks back one hour. It was great sleeping in, but still waking up early. Today we are celebrating my mom's birthday since our family won't all be together after tonight. Around 11am we left to go to an Art Fair along Main Street. I took a lot of cute pictures (& got asked if I work for the newspaper), some of small dogs and of a group of kids dressed as characters from the Wizard of Oz. But I chose to post this beautiful one since I got the woman's card and promised to link her Bluestar Jewelry Design website. Here it is & all of the pieces are handmade! A couple had a area with different flavored jams and I asked for a sample of the strawberry-pineapple jam. It was delicious, reminding me of our family summer trip to Amish Ohio! I will probably post more pictures of the Art Fair on my Flickr account over the next few days.

Crengland

Yesterday was a very good day. Mia and I got up early to go out to breakfast with Grandpa and had a photo shoot when we came home. It lasted longer than I thought, but I got a lot of good pictures to choose from. This one is my current favorite. I took 997, so I'm not yet done filtering through them. My mom and I drove down to St. Leo to pick up my brother from school for the weekend to celebrate my mom's birthday. I took some pictures of him too; he is looking so much older these days. I can't believe he is turning 21 in a couple weeks! On the way home we got into a hour long traffic jam; half of the time we weren't moving at all. We stopped at Wendy's on the way home and got back around 8pm. Also, it is very important that I mention how proud I am of Michael, who had his Grinchmas audition last night & passed! He will be one of the make up artists putting Who noses on the employees through out December.

I made the mistake years ago, when I was keeping up with each season of America's Next Top Model, of trying to get my friends to pose seriously, without smiling. I don't remember now if this day Mia asked to take some smiling, or if I said something to make her laugh, but I love these pictures of her where she looks so happy. And she's one of those wonderfully positive people that each time she smiles, seven rainbows appear in the sky even if it hasn't rained in days.

Forever Young

This morning I drove up to Gainesville for my mom's birthday weekend. It was a pretty good drive. With my new CD, it didn't seem as long as it does sometimes. Mia came over after a healthy dinner of salmon, potatoes and broccoli. She said that if I drove her to the mall, she would buy me some jewelry, as long as it was under ten dollars. That's easy when you go to Forever 21 and its pretty good quality for their prices, I think. I got this Pegasus necklace for four bucks and a ring for five, which I will use more for photos. Thanks, best friend! Right now we are enjoying "the Half Blood Prince" (finally!) with pistachios and popcorn.
