VAMP

I am so excited to be able to announce that VAMP, the Vocational Academy of Makeup and Prosthetics, is officially opened! Their store opened in the building last month, but I haven't been in there yet. I have seen pictures on their Instagram page though. Today was Michael and Brian's first day as teachers and I am excited to hear all about it when he calls me tonight. (I'm in Naples with Grandma Belva for a couple days since I still had the time off from what was supposed to be our camping trip.) They even took a "first day of school" picture for me!!
Here are some pictures Michael took a few days ago of the lab and makeup stations all set up:
VAMP has definitely been a big project that Heather and Kim began working on over two years ago. Heather pitched the idea to Michael in June 2014, when he came down to Orlando for two days to find us a new apartment, while we were still living in Birmingham. I remember even in March of last year, driving home with Michael from Clearwater Beach, he was telling me what they were wanting the VAMP logo to look like. I think it turned out very nicely. He signed on to be one of their teachers early last year, and officially began working at the school around May. He and Brian have made a handful of molds and sculpted several pieces to show the students some of their most recent work. That includes his amazingly terrifying hillbilly troll.
Below you can see a bunch of pictures I took on the Canon a few weeks ago:

This is just a sneak peak of what they have worked on so far!! I look forward to seeing more that they do as well as the outcomes of the students' projects.
