Santa Monica Pier

Last week via Fcebook, I noticed that one of our friends from Full Sail - Patrick - was visiting the Los Angeles area for a week. He had gotten a tour of the Warner Bros studio (although he said the tour guide told them nobody was allowed to take pictures in the Harry Potter area).. I sent him a message and he said he had some free time on Tuesday before flying back home the next day. So we made plans to meet at the Santa Monica Pier, which was about 40 minutes away.
Patrick is such a great guy. He's always smiling or laughing and so positive. I liked his California hoodie and he was cool about me taking lots if group pictures. He actually brought his own small digital camera. The weather was overcast and cold (55-59 degrees) all day, but we all brought jackets and still had fun! I really like how we have been able to meet up with people from school and even though it's been almost two years since we graduated, it seems like we just got back from Christmas Break and we're ready to work on another project together. That would be fun.

There wasn't too much to do. A lot of the small theme park area looked like it was closed because of the weather. And the Aquarium was closed due to a school field trip and the normal business hours didn't begin until 2pm and we left by then. We went to Bubba Gump for lunch and that was a lot of fun. I like all the Forrest Gump related props they use in the restaurant. Even your food is brought on thin newspaper with articles that revolve around events that take place during movie.
"And that's all I got to say about that."
